December Programs
Wednesday, December 3rd and 10th - 4:00-5:00pm

Anna Stange returns to share with us holiday cheer as she sings Christmas & winter holiday songs in storybook form. Circle games, dances, and an indoor musical "Snowball" Freeze Fling are all part of a fun afternoon.

Winter Storyhour Registration begins today.
You can register for Preschool Storyhour, K-2 Storyhour and Field Days.
Storyhours begin on Janurary 14th and 15th.

will be on Thursdays in October from 4:00 - 5:00pm

Preschool Storyhour will be on Wednesdays at 9:45am and 1:00pm
Children must be 3 years old and not yet in Kindergarten.
Parent Child Book Discussion will be on the first Thursdays of the Month. Children must be in the 4th grade up to 6th grade. Please register or see Miss Dee if you have questions about this group.
Drop-in programs will all be held on Thursdays in October.
Preschool drop-in will be at 9:45 am.
This will be a repeat of the Wednesday preschool programs.
Baby Bloomers will be at 10:45 am.
This is a drop-in program for all children from birth to 3 years old.

Summer Reading
Summer reading has begun. If you have not signed up for the summer reading program stop by the Youth Services desk to sign up. The summer reading program will end on Wednesday July 30th.
HOME RUN WEDNESDAYS
Join us on Wednesdays this summer for our Family Friendly programs.
July 2 - Movie day - 4:00pm - Sandlot III Heading Home
July 9 - Race Day - note special time 6:00-8:00 pm. Local racers, cool cars, games and more!
July 1 - Board Game Bonanza - 4:00 pm - Bring your favorite board game or try one of ours.
July 23- Gaming in the Great Outdoors - 4:00 pm - featuring Tumblebus and Climb On.
July 30 - Library night at the Windy City Thunderbolts in Crestwood. 7:00 pm
Starting on Monday July 14th you may stop by the youth services desk to pick up
4 FREE tickets per family. There is a limited number of tickets available and you must be registered for the summer reading program.
Aug 1 - Gold Medal Splash Fest at Dolphin Lake 10:15-11:45
Children earning at least 10 Reading Reward Dollars are invited to join with their family and the Youth Staff for the big summer finale. You must stop by the youth service desk by Wednesday July 30th to pick up your special pool pass in order to attend.
HOMEWOOD DAYS
Friday July 11 - Step into Homewood Days at the Homewood Library 11:00 am.
The James Hart Junior High Steppers will be performing some of their routines and teaching us all how to do some stepping of our own.

Spring Storyhours Begin This Week
Spring Storyhours begin on Wednesday March 19th
Tot Time Storyhour is for 2 to early 3 year olds. Caregivers and children enjoy this highly interactive storyhour together with games, songs, and stories. We meet on Wednesdays at 11:00 am, for 20minutes. You must register in person for this class.
Preschool Storyhour is for 3 to 5 year olds. This storyhour is just for preschoolers and it includes stories, songs, movie, craft and snack. We meet at 9:45am and another class is at 1:00pm. This is a 45 minute class. You must register in person for this class.
Special Field Days is TODAY at 4:00 pm.
The Soil Adventure Mobile is coming today. This is an exciting program being offered to us by the Field Museum. You must be registered to attend this program today. Call the Youth Services desk to see if there are any openings left. Call us at 708-798-0121 ext. 222.

Then at 10:45 our babies will be arriving for their Baby Bloomer Storyhour. This is also a drop in program for babies (0-2 yrs old) and a care giver. Toys and books are available to share with your children. I will read a couple of stories and we will sing a few songs together.
Kindergarten-2nd Grade Storyhour starts today at 4:00 pm for those that are registered. This program is filled for this session, but there will be another session in March and you may register by calling the youth desk at 708-798-0121 ext 222.
Then at 7:00 pm the Parent-Child Book Discussion group will meet to discuss Yankee Girl by Mary Ann Rodman. We will not be meeting in the meeting room so stop by the youth desk to find out where we will be.
Starlight Family Storyhour tonight at 6:30. This is also a drop-in program and all ages our welcome. Our feature author of the night will be Margaret Wise Brown.
